Adam Frisby 937a2e6dca * Adds initial support for the MXP Virtual Worlds protocol (http://www.bubblecloud.org)
* Handled via the MXPModule.cs located in OpenSim.Client.MXP namespace.
* Also implements MXPClientView and MXPPacketServer for IClientAPI compatibility.
* No changes were required to Core to implement this - the thing is self contained in OpenSim.Client.MXP.dll.
* Includes reference implementation of MXP as MXP.dll - this is under the Apache 2.0 license.
* Requires OpenSim.ini setting to enable. "[MXP] \n Enabled=true \n Port=1253"
* May break. Highly untested.

lbsa71 06ece33bee * Okay, so finally got my head around this. Problem is that upstream Prebuild copied dlls promiscuously, and this led to the references being all mixed up (/bin dlls overwritten by different versions on every csc)
* Something that thus needs fixing is the fact that ProjectReferences has to be marked 
    <ProjectReference>
      <Private>False</Private>
    </ProjectReference>
but that is not configurable in the upstream Xml Schema. I've hardcoded it in our repo for now.

The change makes two principal implementation changes:

[1] It removes the hard coded set of possible asset server client
implementations, allowing any arbitrary implementation that has been
identified to the PluginLoader as an appropriate extension. The
extension point for asset server client extension
is /OpenSim/AssetServerClient. All of the old configuration rules have
been preserved, and any of the legacy configuration values will still
work as they did before, except the implementation is now loaded as a
plug-in, rather than as a hard-coded instantiation of a specific class.
The re-hashing of IAssetServer as an extension of IPlugin made upgrading
of the implementation classes a necessity.

Caveat: I have not been able to meaningfully test the crypto-grid
clients. I believe they should work correctly, but the refactoring
necessary to handle plug-in based initialization (vs constructor-based
initialisation) admits the possibility of a problem.

[2] The asset cache implementation, previously introduce as a hard-code
class instantiation is now implemented as an IPlugin. Once again the
previous (configurationless) behavior has been preserved. But now it is
possible for those interested in experimenting with cache technologies
to do so simply by introducing a new extension for the asset cache
extension point (/OpenSim/AssetCache).

I've tested all of the configuration settings, after applying the patch
to a newly extracted tree, and they seem to work OK.

Mike Mazur ab5e332832 - removed OpenSim.Grid.AssetInventoryServer.Metadata class in favor of
OpenSim.Framework.AssetMetadata and related updates in AssetInventory
  server
- removed dependency on MySql.Data.MySqlClient
- commented out the bulk of OpenSimInventoryStorage due to missing
  MySql.Data dependency
- refactor asset creation in OpenSimAssetFrontend
- commented out ForEach implementation, which also depended on
  MySql.Data, until it's supported by OpenSim backends
- commented out some handlers in BrowseFrontend and ReferenceFrontend as
  they relied on either ForEach or the removed Metadata class

Dr Scofield 9b66108081 This changeset is the step 1 of 2 in refactoring
OpenSim.Region.Environment into a "framework" part and a modules only
part. This first changeset refactors OpenSim.Region.Environment.Scenes,
OpenSim.Region.Environment.Interfaces, and OpenSim.Region.Interfaces
into OpenSim.Region.Framework.{Interfaces,Scenes} leaving only region
modules in OpenSim.Region.Environment.

The next step will be to move region modules up from
OpenSim.Region.Environment.Modules to OpenSim.Region.CoreModules and
then sort out which modules are really core modules and which should
move out to forge.

I've been very careful to NOT BREAK anything. i hope i've
succeeded. as this is the work of a whole week i hope i managed to
keep track with the applied patches of the last week --- could any of
you that did check in stuff have a look at whether it survived? thx!

Fixed all NHibernate unit tests by implementing missing persistency 
methods, tables, columns and fixing bugs in the existing implementation.
Two minor changes to classes outside NHibernate module: Added Scene 
instantiation for SceneObjectGroup in OpenSim.Data.Tests.BasicRegionTest 
as this was required by the NHibernate persistency. In the process added 
also mock constructor to Scene which only populates RegionInfo in the scene 
which is used by ScenePart.RegionUUID. NHibernate module is still in 
experimental state and has not been tested at opensim region or ugaim runtime 
configuration. Adding unit tests to build is not yet advisable nor using 
NHibernate module in any production setup.

Teravus Ovares e9cef70f89 * Updates the sim stats module. Cleans out some of the rot.
* Adds a prototype web stats module which is disabled by default.  It's functional with one report right now, however, the database structure may change, so I don't recommend enabling this to keep actual stats right now.  I'll let you know when it's safe.

Melanie Thielker f3c8963c86 Convergence is almost complete. This brings the diff between the API to < 10k
and makes it use a common set of types in both engine. Fixes the issues with
running both engines and HTTP requests / listens / timers etc..
Also fixes a couple of minor Scene issues and a CTB by nullref.

Sean Dague 908f1bcbe2 check in stubbing for mysql tests. This is ignored with
Assert.Ignore() for now, so it won't change anything, but
I want to make sure it doesn't break the bamboo infrastructure

Melanie Thielker 420a645036 Remove Common/LSL_Types.cs. Both script engines now use a single version
of the types, located in OpenSim/Region/ScriptEngines/Shared/LSL_Tyoes.cs
Also changes the compiler in DotNetEngine to use that. You _will_ need to
let your region recompile all your scripts!

ordinary region modules and are able to coexist in one instance.

changes to OpenSim.ini.example, please note DefaultScriptEngine.

XEngine fixes: prevent queue overruns, prevent spamming when no key
is down. Release controls when conflicting permissions are requested

Sean Dague 96c720b04a be more clever and move the bulk of the db tests for inventory into
OpenSim.Data.Tests, then subclass with custom init bits for sqlite.
As I've only been testing the plugin interfaces anyway, this should
make it very easy to write only a little bit of code to use these
tests for other databases.  It will also give us the framework for
definining the datastore behavior and making sure that all the databases
do the same thing.

Dr Scofield b5f23b4c9c first cut at a GridInfo plugin (mantis #1825). Currently just spits
out everything in the [GridInfo] section :-D Also, not yet LLSD but
XmlRpc, LLSD via GET will follow. OpenSim.ini.example contains sample
values and explanation. Oh, and default values provided are 

       platform: OpenSim
       mode: standalone | grid

Charles Krinke 38da8960e9 Mantis#1707. Thank you, Melanie for a patch that:
This patch limits the maximum size of prims that can be created using libsl bots 
or modified clients to 65536mper side. It also limits LSL functions to that size.
If a prim is already physical, the enforced constraint is 10m.
A prim that is larger than 10m cannot be turned physical, either via script or UI.
Linksets are handled correctly, so scaling of physical linksets is constrained by 
the size of it's largest component prim. Also, turning linksets physical is based 
on the size of it's largest ptim.

Sean Dague de69ecfaae remove build references to what I believe to be the very old MSSQL
datastore tucked down in the Region namespace.  This is based on
the assumption that OpenSim.Data.MSSQL is what is actually used by
anyone, and prevents us from having to refactor 2 different MSSQL store
paths when futzing with SOP functions.

the attached patch set adds the (still work-in-progress but already
working) RestPlugin base class and the RestRegionPlugin code. we are using
XML serialization.

currently working:

GET /admin/regions/                 -> returns UUID list of known regions
   GET /admin/regions/<UUID>    -> returns detailed region information

we'll be adding support for POST/DELETE/PUT and also for
/admin/regions/<UUID>/name etc.

MW 755ad9e3e0 First part of avatar persistence, currently only really works in standalone mode (with accounts_authenticate set to true), it also only currently has a mysql database connector. (sqlite one will follow soon). It also uses the tribalmedia database system, so this needs checking to see if the old problems with mono have been fixed.
To use, see the appearance section in opensim.ini.example, set "persist = true", then add the correct connection string for your database.(see mysql-AvatarAppearance.sql in share folder for a example of the table mysql table structure).
This could possible be used in a very small grid, but would mean each region server would need to connect to the same mysql database. 
But the work to move the code to one of the grid servers shouldn't be too much.

* Don't take these numbers as gospel yet, since for some reason textures displayed from inventory which require downloading from the server are being recorded as assets 
rather than textures
* But I don't have any reason to believe they aren't broadly accurate.
* I've put these in so I can tell whether the high memory usage on regions is down to the asset/texture cache

* DEV: Only adds needed to be implemented since, as far as I can tell, assets cached are currently never released.  For my part, seeing large cache memory numbers will 
provoke me to think about doing something about this.

Tedd Hansen bacbade369 Major reorganizing of DotNetEngine. Moved common script engine parts to ScriptEngine.Common, only .Net-specific code in DotNetEngine. AppDomains, event handling, event execution queue and multithreading, script load/unload queue, etc has been moved to ScriptEngine.Common.
Loads of things has been put into interfaces instead of the specific class.
We are now one step closer to ScriptServer, and its very easy to implement new script languages. Just a few lines required to make them a OpenSim script module with all its glory.

(which is a pure .net solution so works on both Mono and MS .net, and is under the MIT license, will add the source code for the library later). I also suggest we look into switching to using Mono.addins for our Region module loading management.
A little bit more refactoring of Scene.

Tleiades Hax 60e4541865 Created a generic RESTClient component, which simplifies querying for resources from REST based web-services.
Currently it supports a barebones scheme for specifying the path of the resource and querying asynchroneously. POST method is still wacky and a good solid scheme for handling timeout still remain.

Tleiades Hax 1232eb1c58 Asset server implementation. Again one of these "plumbing" releases, where no real functionality has been introduced, but ground work has been made, enabling the asset server, and preparing the sim server to query the asset server.

    * In it, there's a ForEach(Action<Scene>) that either passes all scenes, or only current scene depending on context.

MW e2e13a9756 Added part 3 of Darok's BulletX patch. The bulletX plugin is now a project in the opensim build/solution. To use change the physics setting in opensim.ini to "modified_BulletX". MW 8e3b2392d1 Start of trying to make Region/Scene more modular.
Added preliminary IRegionModule interface.
Also have a work in progress way of Modules registering optional API methods (kind of like Apache optional functions). But there must be a cleaner/nicer way in c# of doing these than the current way.
Added three work in progress modules: ChatModule (simple handles in world chat, but by moving this to a module, we could support other types of chat modules, ie like a irc - opensim bridge module. ) , AvatarProfilesModule and XferModule. 
Moved most of the code from  Scene.ModifyTerrain() into the BasicTerrain library, as the start of trying to make that more modular. 
Stopped Child agents showing up as part of the "show users" command.

MW 653a4ff22d Deleted a few old files that are no longer used.
Deleted the GridInterfaces projects, and for now moved the old local asset server into Framework.Communications, as we prepare to rewrite the asset cache and asset server.
Deleted Framework.manager as I am sure this is no longer in use.

MW a228b5984e Start of Inventory service, currently only (partially) functional in standalone mode and using sqlite).
In standalone mode, if you have account authenticate turned on (setting in opensim.ini) then when you create a new account, a set of inventory is created for that account and stored in database (currently only a set of empty folders). Then during login the database is search for that set and sent to the client in the login response.
More functions will be added soon, like creating new folders (and a bit later items) from the client inventory window.

MW 79f0ac82e3 Some cleaning up and removed a few old files no longer in use.
Temporary have had to rename the OpenSim.DataStore.MonoSqlite project to OpenSim.DataStore.MonoSqlite1, as I'm not sure what was done to stop the old project name being included in the VS2005 solution.
Also some config changes:
OpenSim now has a INI (OpenSim.ini) file that it will read some config settings from (if the ini file exists).
Added Mono.Data.SqliteClient.dll so that we can use the same code for sqlite on Windows and mono/linux. (from what I can tell Mono class libraries have a MIT license so there should be no problems with us including this dll).
So now to get the basic prim storage working , you need to first create the sqlite database file from the sqlite3-prims.sql in share directory. Then in the OpenSim.ini file, change the storage_plugin so it points to OpenSim.DataStore.MonoSqlite1.dll (storage_plugin = OpenSim.DataStore.MonoSqlite1.dll). Then in your region.xml files change the DataStore value so it is the name of your database file (at the moment you need a different sqlite3 database file for each region).

MW cf203cf5ee The startup set of assets in the local asset server can now be set from a xml file (OpenSimAssetSet.xml). (remember to make changes to the set, you will also need to delete the old asset .yap file, so that it is recreated).
Also the set of items in the OpenSim inventory Library can also now be set from a xml file (OpenSimLibrary.xml).

MW f1e10e555d clean up of startup config settings (command line args etc),
Now using the Nini configuration library (suggest we look into using this for the rest of our config handling, as it provides a standard interface for command line args, INI files, Xml files, .NET config files, and windows registry). 
One IMPORTANT change is that to TO START GRIDMODE , you need to now use -gridmode=true .
Also need someone to test it under mono. (there is a dll that has been compiled under mono available, just hoping that we don't have to deal with separate dlls for windows and linux.

MW 70fa302042 * Some work in progress code: Inventory cache, start of inventory server/service, userprofile cache, inventory handling. (non of it is enabled yet (or at least it shouldn't be).
* Fixed some of the problems with crossing regions when flying: you should no longer sink to ground level when crossing (should keep roughly your right height). Should no longer sometimes get sent back to the centre of the current region when attempting to border cross. But instead sometimes you will find you avatar stop at the edge of region and you will need to start moving again to retry the crossing (which should then work). This code is partly based on Babblefrog's issue #212 patch. [I think I have some ideas of how to solve the stopping at edges problem, just want to get the inventory code done first]
* Capabilities code has now been moved to the OpenSim.Framework.Communications project as some of the caps code will be tightly tied to inventory/asset handling and it was causing a two way reference problem when it was in its own project/dll.

This is a Big commit as I was going to keep my inventory work local until I had it in a working state, in case it brakes anything, but its getting harder to keep in sync with svn.

MW a04602d9c1 Added AddPreCompiledScript method to ScriptManager.
Done some work on lbsa71's simpleApp(hope he doesn't mind):
now have the avatar showing up and the terrain and his pulsating box (well except its not a box, as there seems to be something wrong with our PrimitiveBaseShape..DefaultBox() settings). 
Also noticed a few other problems that I had to work around, so these need looking into.

MW 7f03246653 Gird mode in sugilite should now work in so far as you should be able to login and move between regions in the same instance. Moving to regions in a different instance of opensim still needs implementing (working on it now).
Also trying to look at the map in grid mode will crash the server.
